This book was fantastic. Especially for an old guy like me coming from the beginning of the microcomputer era. I remembered many of the software releases (not just the names, like some of you youngsters). For instance, VisiCalc and WordStar.

It brought back fond memories of the battle between Apple and the PC. And, it clarified some things about how DOS was actually won by Gates and turned into his own product (you wouldn't believe how many urban legends are abound about this story).

To me, it helped me to understand Bill better, and I learned to like him in this book. The book is a bit edgy, and never sides with Gates. On the contrary, it is often harsh and honest... Yet I walked away liking him.

I recommend it to all of my fellow computer geek friends!
